Off the Mountain Activities in Chamonix

“I just wanted to say a huge thanks for everything this weekend, it totally surpassed my expectations. The chalet was perfect. Just the right balance of modern, funky design and cosy, warm and comfortable ambience. Emily's cooking was amazing, and we were all thoroughly spoilt.”

For those who want a change from the snow or have enough energy to fit in other activities apart from skiing, Chamonix has excellent sports facilities. They include a heated swimming pool, indoor and outdoor ice rinks, a climbing wall, squash and tennis courts, a gym and sauna.

The indoor climbing centre at Les Houches is also very popular until later in the season when the outdoor crags are in use. Les Gaillands at the bottom of town is a great place to climb or watch the local mountaineers go through their paces in the spring and summer.

The Cinema in the centre of town plays all the latest releases, with English screenings generally once a day during the summer and winter seasons.

Ten pin bowlers need not do with out a game whilst in Chamonix with lanes and a bar down in Chamonix Sud. There are also pool and snooker tables in the same centre.
